Pigs

These strong snouted fellows are often strong enough to lift posts out of the ground unless they are secured well with concrete or some other means. Because of their exceptional digging ability the fence should be secure against tunnel breaches. Depending on the hardness of ground where you want to erect the fence, trenching to secure the fence in the earth may be recommended or required. Pigs are surprisingly good escape artists. They can chew up and tear down with unexpected strength and determination.
From experience, I can tell you that pigs on the loose in the neighborhood are not appreciated by neighbors and nerve racking for the responsible caretaker as there is often damage to mend. It's nerve racking to know your pigs are out by roads and wild animals too.

Dogs/Coyote

What kind of dog do you have? Jumping and digging ability are important factors in choosing a fence best for you and your budget.
Even if you have a small & old dog now, we don't know what the future will hold. A great fence can increase property value substantially as many home owners and renters have animals and care for their protection and privacy.
Goats/sheep

Goats are notorious for eating anything, including tough fencing. Sheep and goats are also excellent climbers. We take this into account when planning how to secure the space for years to come. Building tough fences that will survive a falling tree branch and rambunctious goats can be done on a budget. Talk to us today to find out more.
Cattle

Keep your cattle safe. We know most cattle pasture is very large and costs can add up, especially when designing for pasture rotation. Keeping your cattle inside and predators outside without investing in Fort Knox walls can be done with only small compromises. Simple and quick and easy to fix while being highly effective at its job is what we can build.
Horses/Moose

Equestrian fencing is strong and tall. Horses, especially stallions that know they can jump and kick, can break or hop most fences easily when excited. Sometimes this results in fatal injury. A tall fence will discourage attempts of this sort and high tensile strength with solid postings will hold through horseplay and kicks. The power in these animals is mighty impressive. 1500 pounds, mostly muscle, can break wooden walls accidently with bump. With intention, a horse can break a brick wall. We know how to build the right fence for the job.
Electric lines are quite standard as they discourage touching the fence and consequently make it last much longer. Power can come from a solar, wind, or water set up or from the standard grid.
Fence installation for horses must be done right so the horses don't end up injured.

Bees (Bears)

As magnificent as they are, we usually prefer to keep some distance to bears. Male grizzlies weigh up to 1770 pounds. As powerful as they, we humans can build walls stronger.
On the cheap, one can use a powerful electric fence to deter them but if motivated, an electric line will not stop a bear. Usually these set ups are around bee yards as bears are big fan of snacking on bees. If a bear will tolerate tens of thousands of bee stings for a feed, they can tolerate a standard electric fence. It is still much preferred to no fence as it will deter all but highly motivated bears.

Poultry

Farm birds (except strong roosters) are unfortunately vulnerable prey. Owls, hawks, dogs, cats, snakes, and more go for the easy hunt of unprotected poultry.
Fencing for poultry is relatively quick and budget friendly. A netted roof over a large run means the birds are free to roam safely at all times. No need to close up the coop every evening and open it everyday. They are free to eat their highly nutritious wild diet and get all the essentials for health like sunlight and fresh air. Eggs produced in environments like this are much better. A solid enclosure will mean more relaxation and convenience for you and the birds and most importantly, less fatalities.

How to stain a wood fence:
Need to refinish your fence? When the sealant gets old with years of weathering you need to reseal the wood to keep it looking great and prevent rotting. It is essential for structural integrity.
When you notice the wood is absorbing water easily instead of deflecting droplets and the color is fading out, it is time to reseal. You can use a clear coat lacquer, colored stain, or paint. When you have purchased your sealant of choice, make sure the wood surface is dry and clean within reason. Find out what applicator works best for you and the fence. Wide brushes are usually best as they do well in the corners and flat sections. A roller may work great in some cases or even a cloth. Avoid skin contact with the sealants as much as possible. For best results, select a time when it unlikely to rain or blow heavy wind in the 24 hours after application. Dust, leaves, hair, and such things will stick to the wet sealant so choose your timing with this in mind. Start with a thin coat evenly spread across the wooden surface. Check your sealant for drying time and when its ready for secondary coats. Apply at least 2 coats. In some cases people do as much as 5 for a great result that will be highly protective for a long time. Enjoy your fabulous fence and be grateful. What's the difference between a fencing contractor and a fence installer?Fencing contractors usually install fences, thus, are subject to also being called fence installers. They are quite synonymous.
